Journal
Observations on independent filmmaking, production systems, media infrastructure, atmosphere, storytelling, and the realities beneath creative work.

A large portion of filmmaking exists outside the frame.
The logistics.
The financing conversations.
The compromises.
The scheduling problems.
The operational pressure required to keep momentum alive once the excitement fades.
Over time, I started realizing those invisible systems were often just as important as the creative work itself.
This journal exists as a place to document some of those observations — along with thoughts on independent production, cinematic atmosphere, modern media systems, and the evolving relationship between storytelling and technology.

AI In The Production Room
Most conversations around AI in filmmaking still feel strangely disconnected from the realities of production. The most immediate impact isn't replacing directors or actors — it's reducing friction.

The Midwest As Production Context
Working outside traditional industry centers changes the psychology of filmmaking. There's less mythology attached to it. Less performance. Less posturing.
Field notes, occasionally.
Infrequent. Substantive. Dispatches when there is actually something worth saying.
